Hi hi and welcome! I am the Director of the Health Newsroom at Hearst, where I lead an amazing team of editors; together we crank out the digital and print health content for Good Housekeeping, Prevention and Woman’s Day. We do features, single-topic packages and SEO stories on all things health, fitness and nutrition, including, of course, mental health. I also work with the branded content and business teams to help ensure that any partnerships are consistent with the brands’ voices and values.
My main career has been as a writer and editor for loads of extant and late, lamented magazines and newspapers. These include Glamour, SELF, Health, Fitness, Shape, Parenting, Coastal Living, YM, American Photo, Health, Cosmopolitan, and Men’s Health. Read my somewhat truncated résumé.
Remember paper magazines? They were fun and smelled of perfume. Ah, well. All good things, etc.
Oh, right, and I have also edited and ghostwritten books and book proposals, and wrote a bestselling humor semi-memoir. (Before you ask, for now there is no next book.) I have also done various projects in branded and business content.
Scroll up for a few articles — the ones without my byline were edited by me.
